Jakimoski is currently a Research Associate at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Stevens Institute of Technology. He  has  earned a  Diploma and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Sts. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia. He has enrolled the Computer Science Department, Florida State University in 2001 and graduated in 2006 with a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Information Science. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Stevens Institute of Technology from July 2006 to April 2008. His research Interests are in the areas of Cryptography, Computer and Network Security. Some more specific research topics he has addressed in the past include design and cryptanalysis of block ciphers, design and cryptanalysis of stream ciphers and encryption schemes, efficient and provably secure message authentication, efficient and provably secure stream authentication, survivability models and ring signatures. His work has been cited more than 400 times according to Google Scholar.
