Ourida Oubraham

Ourida Oubraham is Director of the Samuel C. Williams Library at Stevens Institute of Technology. Prior to becoming the director, she served as deputy director for 15 years and as an information services librarian for seven years.
 
Under her leadership, the Library has launched a new website with Web 2.0 functionality, and digital collections have grown steadily. She is committed to supporting the institute’s research activities and providing study resources for its students. Ourida represents Stevens at the state and national level and is a member of the Council of Directors of VALE (Virtual Academic Library Environment of New Jersey).
 
Before joining Stevens, Ourida held the position of Library Director at the National Institute of Electronics in Algiers, Algeria. She holds a master’s degree in library science from Case Western Reserve University, a bachelor’s degree in biology from  Algiers University, and she is fluent in Arabic and French.
