Professor Robert Kelly Jr. currently instructs at Stevens Institute of Technology in the MSIS Program. He also researches and teaches at Monmouth University in the Software Engineering MS program.

Kelly has had more than 30 years experience at Bell Telephone Laboratories and AT&T. He was exposed to many different aspects of technology and the management of technology. These included research into low bit rate speech processing, the design of private voice networks, and the development of support systems for those networks. Other experiences at these companies include technology management of data communications networks, the development of networking software for connecting UNIX processors and IBM mainframes, and advanced technology planning. Finally, Kelly has had experience in systems engineering and architecture of complex solutions, and the development of the tools to support AT&T’s internal data processing environment.

After his career at Bell Telephone Laboratories and AT&T, Kelly worked for a small firm performing ERP installation and customization; he has also consulted.

Kelly has a BSEE degree from Manhattan College and a MSEE degree from Stanford University.
