Rodrigo Fernández comes to Stevens as a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry (Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Warner Lambert – now Pfizer). His broad knowledge and experience range from Manufacturing Support to Laboratory Management, Process Quality Assurance, Performance Monitoring and, for the last 10 years, Project Management and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with emphasis in Computer System Validation and Support for Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS), Statistical Software and Quality Complaint Investigation applications.


Rod’s expertise is focused in Analytical Method Optimization, Quality Assurance, Project Management and Software Validation with emphasis in documentation and testing. His current areas of interest are in cost savings through optimization of validation processes and on Process Analytical Technology (PAT).


Rod is a graduate from North Carolina State University at Raleigh, NC where he obtained his degree in Chemistry with Honors. His performance has been recognized through several Quality/Productivity and Presidential awards from Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.


He is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys working with people of different cultures and backgrounds.
