Dr. Grasso is a surgeon, software architect / medical informaticist, and business analyst with over 15 years of delivering professional services within the international healthcare marketplace. His business development acumen spans start up to commercialization, establishment of strategic alliances, distribution channel partnerships, and co-branding initiatives. He possesses global expertise in Clinical Program Development and Clinical Information Management. Unique for a physician, he is bridging traditional and novel concepts within the discipline of Project Management to the practice of evidence based medicine as is scheduled to receive his PMP certification during Q3 of 2009.

Grasso received his BA from St. Peter's College, an osteopathic medical degree from Des Moines University and completed his surgical residency within the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Manhattan Program.  His post doctorate experiences at Yale University included teaching advanced laparoscopic surgery symposiums globally and medical informatics / Telemedicine based research while a NASA Project Manager at the NASA Yale University Commercial Space Center for Medical Informatics and Technology Applications (CSCMITA).  

He maintains an academic relationship with Stevens Institute of Technology as a Seminar Leader within the Stevens Healthcare Educational Partnership (SHEP) and Stevens Healthcare IT Management Advisory Board Member. He is also a consultant to Wiley Publications concerning the design of curriculum for several online based graduate level healthcare IT courses involving Healthcare Information System (HIS) Applications, EHR Policy, and Financial Services.

He is the Executive Vice President for Global Healthcare Practice of LGS Global, Ltd., a publically traded Indian based IT Services provider.  Additionally, leads the healthcare IT development initiatives of Technology Integrations for Medical Applications (TIMA) and one of its spin-offs - Waterfront Health Care Services, LLC, located within the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission Business Accelerator.
