Alan Saltzman is an Affiliate Professor at the Howe School of Technology Management, Stevens Institute of Technology. He also manages his own company where he specializes in validation of computer systems and compliance services for FDA-regulated industries, and integration of IT systems. His career includes twenty-nine years in the pharmaceutical industry where he held strategic management positions covering all aspects of  Information Technology, including architecture, applications, operations, technical support, database management, compliance, change and document management, and training. He led executive business steering committees for IT and he led corporate IT strategic planning meetings. Mr. Saltzman has been an invited speaker at several conferences and he was a conference chair and program chair at several Drug Information Association, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, and other industry meetings. Since leaving industry, he has been a consultant and has taught graduate technology management courses at the university. His active memberships include the Society for Information Management where he was on the New Jersey Chapter executive board.
