Design and Analysis of Network Systems (CPE/NIS654)

Course Instructor
Victor Lawrence

Analyze current networks, including classic telephone, ISDN, IP, and ATM. Learn the characteristics of high-speed networks. Understand the principles of network design, including user-network interface, traffic modeling, buffer architectures, buffer management techniques, call processing, routing algorithms, switching fabric, distributed resource management, computational intelligence, distributed network management, and measures of network performance. Recognize quality of service, self-healing algorithms, and hardware and software in future network design.
