Farooq Anjum is specialist in Cryptography
Farooq Anjum is a Research Scientist at Telcordia Technologies formerly known as Bellcore. He is responsible for several projects and has several papers related to investigations in the area of wireless security, Bluetooth, IEEE802.11, the use of software agent technology, intrusion tolerance in computer networks, application layer multicasting and personal communications networks. He is very active in the area of wireless security responsible for organizing a wireless security symposium (VTC 03), being a panelist on wireless security and conducting various tutorials on this topic.Farooq is an adjunct professor at Stevens Institute of Technology as also at the Univ. of Pennsylvania (UPenn). He is also an expert in the Java APIs for Advanced Integrated Networks (JAIN) standards group and leads the Java Advanced Call Control (JCAT) group in the JAIN consortium lead by Sun Microsystems. Farooq joined Telcordia after completing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park.
