Following a review of multidimensional digital signals and systems, frequency analysis, sampling, and filtering, you explore 2D data transforms with DTFT, DFT, DCT, and KLT. Investigate the human visual system and image perception. Study image enhancement with histogram analysis, linear and morphological operators, and image restoration and reconstruction from projection. Learn image analysis, feature detection and recognition, image coding with DCT and wavelet technologies, JPEG and JPEG2000, vide coding with motion estimation, H.263 and MPEG, among other advanced technologies.
