Information Security Certificate for Managers

Program Director
Paul Rohmeyer

Gone are the days when an information technology manager’s biggest security concern was getting employees to change passwords. Today, threats come in the form of identification theft, corporate espionage through unseen doors in the network, e-mail viruses that shut down corporate communication, hackers who damage corporate records, theft of customer records—the list goes on. Information Security professionals need to be armed with the tools and knowledge to use tools to thwart the ever-changing face of cyber threats. This four-course program will enhance an Information Security Manager’s ability to understand the many security domains and interaction among them, design the right security architecture for information assurance, manage risk assessment and learn to identify threats, both internal and external to your company’s information systems. Throughout the program you will discuss the requirements of the law, and become aware of current policies and regulations and their impact on your business.
