Introducing meteorology, this broad overview provides you with the foundations of atmospheric dynamics, including global circulation, climate, and the greenhouse effect. You learn how to interpret the physics of daily weather products--synoptic observations, weather forecasts, numerical models--for engineering analysis, determining maximum wind loading and natural hazard exposure, and probabistic return periods. You will understand atmospheric motion, geostrophic flow, and equation of state of the atmosphere.
