Investigate and understand the organizational infrastructure and governance considerations for information technology. It concentrates on developing students’ competency in current and emerging issues in creating and coordinating the key activities necessary to manage the day-today IT functions of a company. Topics include IT’s key business processes, IT governance, IT organizational structure, value of IT, role of the CIO, outsourcing, systems integration, managing emerging technologies, change management, and human resource considerations. This course must be taken toward the end of the Information Systems degree program.
