Marcia Balestrino is an accomplished information and technology executive with over 30 years of experience in the technology field.  Most recently she was the senior vice president, information and technology, and chief information officer for the Girl Scouts of the USA in New York City. She was also responsible for providing over 300 Girl Scout local affiliates with technical tools to support their work with members and to enhance their interactions with the national organization. Previously, Marcia was senior director of technology at American Express in the electronic commence center of excellence, the card processing system development organization, and the technology strategy group. Prior to joining American Express, Marcia managed technology organizations in large hospital systems in Phoenix, Arizona and Youngstown, Ohio.   Marcia holds an MBA from Youngstown State University and a BA in mathematics.  She has been a member of CIO Magazine’s editorial advisory board, a mentor in the Executive Masters of Science in Technology Program at Columbia University, and is a volunteer for the Cancer Hope Network. In 2001, she was chosen as one of Computerworld’s “Premier 100 IT Leaders”.
