Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science (MA502)

A broad and essential appreciation of the concepts that form the foundations of computer science. You are introduced to such topics as propositional calculus, predicates and quantifiers, elementary number theory and methods of proof, mathematical induction, elementary set theory, combinatorics, functions and relations, countability, recursion, and O-notation. Stresses the application of these concepts to computer science.
