Mel Stern, an Operations Management specialist, has previously taught at the Silberman College of Business at Farleigh Dickenson University. He taught both Graduate/MBA and Undergraduate courses in production and operations management, and management information systems for seven years. Stern has also been the Vice President of Operations at Naturally Scientific, Inc. where he was responsible for the management of all plant operations, managed supervisory personnel, and was responsible for cost control and analysis of operations. He has held several other positions including a consultant for Compax, Inc., President-Founder of Jomel Contract Packaging Corp., Manager at Linear Products, Inc., and Production Planner for Lederle Laboratories. Mel Stern has a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from New York University School of Engineering and a B.S. in Biology from City College of New York. He is a member of the Association for Operations Management, and the Institute of Packaging Professionals.
