Cover optical communication systems design and components. Find out about the propagation of optical signals in single mode and multimode optical fibers. Become familiar with optical sources and photodetectors, optical modulators and multiplexers, and optical communication systems. Learn about coherent modulators, optical fiber amplifiers and repeaters, transcontinental and transoceanic optical telecommunication system design, and optical fiber local area networks.
