A broad overview of theoretical and practical aspects of risk assessment and management. Cover the importance of innovation and technological changes in current competitive environment. Understand risk and uncertainty, decision trees, binomial methods and derivation of Black-Scholes option pricing formula. Learn about the VAR (value at risk) framework for risk assessment. Study several real-world case studies. Prerequisites : TM605 or CS505, MA500 or TM500, and MGT671 or advisor permission.
