Susanne Wetzel is a cryptography and algorithmic number theory expert

Susanne Wetzel is an Assistant Professor in Stevens' Computer Science Department. She received her a diploma in Computer Science from the University in Karlsruhe, Germany and her Doctoral Degree in Computer Science from Saarland University, Germany. She has worked at DaimlerChrysler Research in Stuttgart, Lucent Technologies-Bell Laboratories in Stockholm, and RSA Laboratories in Stockholm. Prof. Wetzel's research is in cryptography and algorithmic number theory. Her research in cryptography focuses on wireless security, secret sharing, privacy, and biometrics. Her contributions range from analysis to protocol design. Wetzel's research in algorithmic number theory covers lattice theory, developing new algorithms and heuristics for lattice basis reduction.
